Eremos is a London-based arts community bringing people closer to God through creativity

Eremos seeks to unite creatives who glorify God through their work, providing a space where they can find support, encouragement, and share their journeys of walking with Jesus as artists.

As the community grows, Eremos aspires to establish a physical sanctuary in London open to all – a place where creativity, faith, beauty, and community come together. More than a home for the arts, it will be a sanctuary of welcome and wonder, where people from all walks of life can encounter God and find space to gather, create, rest and worship.

Art is a sacred invitation to draw closer to the Great Creator of all things. Created in His image, we are inherently wired to create, design, and innovate. We promote artistic expression and craftsmanship as gifts available to all people – powerful means of encountering God, cultivating a deeper relationship with Him, worshiping Him, reflecting His divine nature and enriching the world.

e-ri-mos

a Greek word meaning ‘a solitary place’ or ‘wilderness’, referring to an area for retreat and spiritual refining. It is frequently viewed as a place to meet with God, separate from distractions. In the Bible, the word eremos was used to describe a place where Jesus went to pray.

A word from the founder

Hi, I’m Karolina Brodnicka!

I’m the founder and custodian of Eremos – a new community rooted in faith and creativity.

For over a decade, I have been part of London’s art scene as a jeweller, artist, creative consultant, and educator. In 2026, a new vision was planted in my heart – one that brings together my love of art, libraries, learning, worship, and human connection in service of the living God. When I envision a better future, I see people united by the love of Christ. Just as my own artistic practice draws me closer to the Creator, Eremos seeks to draw hearts closer to Jesus through creativity as an act of worship. In doing so, it aims to nurture community, build bridges, and encourage unity.

May Eremos glorify God and become a source of encouragement, connection, and transformation in the lives of many.

FAQs

Is Eremos only for artists?

No, as creativity lives within all of us. Eremos celebrates creativity as an act of worship to God, the Creator, and seeks to be a place where people can discover their creative gifts, perhaps for the very first time. Through the joy of making, creating, and exploring, they may encounter a deeper connection with themselves, others, and ultimately with God.

As Eremos grows into a physical home, it will provide the space, tools, and encouragement for unique creative voices to flourish – whether through gardening, carpentry, dance, singing, jewellery making, or countless other forms of expression. These gifts and contributions will shape the very fabric of Eremos, creating a sanctuary where beauty, craftsmanship, and faith are present at every corner.

Is Eremos a physical place?

Not yet! Until Eremos finds a permanent physical home, its vision is already taking shape through a growing community of creatives gathering across London to study Scripture, share their creative journeys, and exchange ideas, stories, and inspiring books.

If you feel called to help Eremos establish a physical home, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch at welcometoeremos@gmail.com.

Do you have to be a follower of Jesus to engage with Eremos?

While the vision behind Eremos is centred on Jesus Christ and the values of the community are rooted in His teachings, everyone is welcome to engage. Eremos is for anyone with an open heart who resonates with its mission, is curious about faith, or wishes to explore creativity as a means of deeper connection – to themselves, to others, and to something greater. Whether you are a lifelong Christian, exploring faith for the first time, or drawn to the vision of a community shaped by beauty, creativity, and meaningful relationships, you are welcome to take part.
